    Helping farmers out

Got to like a good relationship with land owners and farmers. Seen some sky pandas and sky rats in a paddock so called in to see the farmer and got the green light, called the boss (myself) and after great debate a sick day was taken, goose fever had set in. It was a bit of work to get them in but better then being at work. Managed to bag a few so every one was happy Name: 20240125_121333.jpg

I have turned quite a few of the breasts into pastrami, that goes really well

I shot 14 last year with my triple two. Maybe it wax the first time they had been shot at, or maybe it was the suppressor confused them but they didn't bolt, just kknx of milled around , sort of confused?
Anyway, Terry at the Waikanae Butcher turned the. Into pepperoni salami which was off the scale 10/10.
Actually I've just remembered, it wad partly hare as well.

Spent 30+ years culling those things. The meat is ok but I’ll take a mutton chop over goose meat anytime. The challenge of stalking/hunting them with a shotgun does it for me. Eating them, not so much.
