I’ve already heard doc telling Tuhoe that the reason pig numbers are low in Te Urewera is because possum numbers are high and possums eat flowers which would’ve become berries, and that pig numbers bounce back higher than ever a couple of years after 1080.

Slightly off topic sorry but Pig numbers are the highest I’ve seen well in the areas I hunt (around the lake). Been hunting there for the last 16 years and have never seen any where near the amount of pig sign I’ve been seeing lately.
