The issue with the rangers ride height is it's wheel base is 13cm longer than the hilux, which means going over humps etc the angles are all screwed and therefor bottoms out easier. Also the attack angles on his new truck is a lot better. drove ranger and hilux back to back the other day, hilux had it in power, handling, build quality and off road ability. and yes i do work for toyota :thumbsup:

I had a look at the new Hilux and it is a step up in terms of finish , and the motor is a thing of beauty and quiet, the bonnet was fuckin heavy tho. @ 70k it was out of my league , better looking and nicer than my mates wildtrack. I ended up trading my 2012 triton on the new model Mitsubishi Triton with a few extras for 47k all up, its a step up over the old model for sure best torque/ weight in class 2nd best power/weight ratio. Its not a new Hilux but its shit loads cheaper.

It is just nonsense for Toyota to bow to that type of pressure. Fucking bunny loving, tree hugging brigade. If they can't understand that there is a large element of society that thought that advertisement both clever and humorous and realise it was just an effort to increase Toyota's top of mind recall in the marketplace then they need to pull their collective heads out of their arses. If you were to attribute only one thing to man's rise to dominance in the animal kingdom it would be our ability to hunt and now these arsewipes in denial of that seem to think that hunting should never have been part of our evolution. They own ford too ? Ranger I was following the otherday put out quite heavy bursts of black soot everytime he acellerated. This was in traffic so not hard acceleration.
