    Most experienced hunters have known for years, but I guess the traditional form of roaring in your stag has a more manly feel about it Plus a calf / fawn call cant be made out of a bit of tube or pipe.
    To take another popular form of American enticement, rattling of antlers actually works on red deer as well. Though I have usually seen only the younger stags more curious of this method when used.
