Hornady precision hunter, 270 win 145g ELD-X factory ammo. Opinions?

Hey everyone, got a REM CDL that I have rebarrelled and accurised, have been breaking it in and it seems to love this ammunition (hates Sako) Getting 5/8 inch groups at 100m and my shooting aint so great ( out of practice, make-shift rest etc) anybody got any real experience with this factory loading as a hunting round at varying ranges? I know its a hyped round but so was everything at some stage. Would prefer to listen to experience before I point it at an animal. Am planning on reloading in the future but the bank is busted for the next month or so. 24 inch barrel so it is slinging them.

I have loaded these projectiles for 270win and found them to be devestating on reds from 50 out to 400 yards with the 270win (my experience) at reasonable speed 2930 fps

Very effective on Red deer (and tahr) as dannyb said but can leave quite a big exit wound. ELD-X is much more effective at short ranges than SST’s in my experience .

Might add, everything I have shot with these pills has been a bang flop result.
They were easy to get shooting well and weren't fussy on jump.
might even try them in the new rifle when it arrives.... @Tikka7mm08 ?

Running this projectile in my hand loads, traveling 2970fps. Extremely effective on deer, at 0 - 500yds.

I think these projectiles at most speeds will flatten deer out to extended ranges, be prepared for a bit of internal damage and mess.

Shot a few animals with them now and perform really good, most at extended range but latest was fallow buck in the bush at about 15m week or so back, shot quartering on in the neck just in front of shoulder, passed through the engine room, good damage to lungs and liver and punctured the paunch, wasnt "explosive" at all though so didnt wreck the gut or intestines and passed out ribs on opposite side leaving an inch sized exit
