How to find the owner of a farm.

I was hunting down somewhere around waitomo area and I saw 4 deer casually grazing on a farmland.
Does anyone know how to find the owner of a farm, get their phone number?
I got the spot marked in the gps, so if I could get a map that shows who land is who's, it will be great.

I don't suppose you were eyeing them through a 10 foot high mesh fence?...driving up or down the road till you find a driveway with a house on it has always been one way of locating an owner...the more common method is to shoot one in broad daylight and before you have the guts out the owner will be there.

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

I saw them across the river that separates doc and farmland.
I will probably try the first option

Interesting, shows a building we pulled down about 12 years ago as still there.

My partner saw 3 deer making a break for it across a paddock to the pines, jumping fences. This was across SH2 from the deer farm in Maramarua.
This was as we were heading home on labour weekend stuck in traffic. Was tempted to get the 7mm08 out of the boot

Did you lose your hat at the river last night Dundee? You are back to your gnarly old self.

Good on you for not shooting them but seeking permission.

I driving a road returning from a job not far from te kuiti, and there standing in a paddock was a red hind. I stop, look for any deer fence...none. It looks at me..head up and bolts across the paddock jumps the fence and up into the pines. Unsure of landowner name, but intend to find out. It was standing less than 15m from the road feeding on the new grass growth.

That Mucko can't be getting in amongst them down there. Speaking of @mucko I haven't seen him on here in a while.

The kiwi hunter mentality is retarded.
    Like some zombie brain lust.
Repeat after me (in you best zombie droll) "Must......shoot.......deer.......uuuuurgh".
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds
