Its 11:30am good sign all the way up to multiple clearings. Im sitting on the edge of the largest so far with the wind in my face but is it worth sitting on my ass for 6 hours till dark or should i just keep wandering the bush and forget about it?![]()

Got a good book? If not maybe walk a bit and come back round 4
Too bloody cold to sit down for too long , will keep wandering around and come back if the weather doesnt turn to custard.

Walk quietly. Remember they will try to wind you
Found another couple nice clearings about 300m away so will stick around here for a bit and go through the other one on the way out
@matto1234 Ahh yes that clearing, I was thinking of putting up a coffee shop one spring at the bottom of the clearing - I would do good buisness.
IMO hunt up and over the top of there to the ridge, keep moving SW along that ridge and then hunt north and down one of the north facing feed guts
Edit: also mate, sit back from the clearing so you are in the bush to give you some cover/break up your shape
You didnt loose your paracord by any chance? Thought that might be the case being so close to the road, i dont normally bother with clearings but im trying somewhere different for a change.
For clearings with good sign, I like to sit on them until my arse hurts plus another two hours.
Has been quite a productive technique for me over the last couple of years.
Cheers

Arguing with an Engineer is like Wrestling a Pig in Mud.
After awhile you realise the Pig loves it.
I give it the old another 10 minute trickworks almost every time. Our have a sandwich our light up a smoke.
It's like waiting for a buse light a smoke buse turns up.
Our fishing get out your lunch and the lines go nuts
Give it another 10 and....
It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along
I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.
Was fresh tracks through them and new punga shoots etc around so wont be long and id say they would be using them. The weather was turning to shit or id have stuck around longer
I've been known to sit, overlooking my favourite clearing all day, hugging hot water bottles from 8am to 5pm. Ten to five, four deer appear, take a shot and miss, go home with my front tail between my legs!![]()
"Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten"!
Iv never been one to really sit & wait unless you have a lot of scope distance is your friend , small clearings like that just hit them early or late & carry on iv got a spot that is similar in the season deer sign all over it , I have yet to see a deer on it !! they are on it at night so I hunt the bush around it shot 6 so far this year from the immediate area. if your intent on waiting maybe climb that big tree at the back !.
