We Have had plenty of beefies dropped at home. Had a couple times found the cleanup site not the paddock it should have been in. Just reckon shoot enough sooner or later you ll have a runner. Big animals are tough. They don't give up so easy. Things start and need to be finished . How could the P O stop after the first round ,he just had to get committed and finish it. After today he may make a different call but at least he made one . Seen worse at works when they had the odd runner.

Know what you mean Brads- we once had the "fortune" to get some of them despite telling the stock agent we wanted quiet cattle. One bitch jumped off the truck and straight through four fences. Took me two days to get her back from the neighbouring farm and she never settled down. Even after 18 months, she would still bolt if you looked at her within 50yds and I had to shoot her as she was impossible to get on the truck.
