    Spend your big money on a good scope later on , but keep the mauser .

    Yup what nick and Neckshot have said. Buy this, good accurate rifle's and in ss so less maintenance to bite you on your first rifle, mighty 308 and should have a 1/10 twist so can run the 208gr amaxs for longer range shots WHEN you start reloading and gain confidence. Will also leave you change for gas money to get yourself to the bush to put it to use.
