    hunter valley

hey fellas with hunting the hunter valley i think it is, can you just drive right on up through to the end of the road and find a carpark or something , to then walk off further up stream into the hut/s?
or is this a 4x4 option only? due to the river crossings an such which are proberly deep?

    thank you

Yeah theoretically you can. You will end up being stopped by a big bog just south of Bull Flat. The hard part is actually getting permission from Hunter Valley Station, who in my experience don’t answer their phone or voice messages unless your producing a TV show.
    Hmmmm....

We walked from Ferguson hut to Green bush, then out to Dingle Burn Station in two days but it was a huge mission- cool to say we did it but not really practical if you were going in the opposite direction for hunting.

Thanks FRST that gives a little info on it!
That was the part i was concerned about, as it seems alot of those rivver valley type hunting areas are wrapped around a Station for permission in most cases-..
ill ask a q in another thread about that

You could go up the Dingle Burn side and try up Timaru Crk , or I think u can get vehicle access up to Green Bush on that side
