Thread: Hunting areas around the Christchurch area

Hi guys, I'm wanting to do a bit of deer hunting/an excuses to get out for a tramp but I don't know any areas around the Christchurch area that would be suitable. So I was wondering if someone could please point me in the direction of some DOC land that may be suitable or something like that? Thanks

NOTE: it is Public Land managed, mismanaged by DoC...

Click on the open hunting areas box in the left hand menu bar- will show you all open permit hunting areas.
Dont forget to print yourself a permit.

Im' in the North Canty NZDA and they have heaps of trips.
