Thread: hunting in Austria

    The law is just as you described. But you may camp almost anywhere if you have permission of the landowner.
    We used to live in a little village over looking Innsbruck & not far from there I saw my first Austrian Chamois. All the valleys are stunning in all the different seasons

    While living in Austria I got around a bit, toured through the Mannlicher & Kahles factory, went hunting for Fox & Roe deer with the in laws & also did some driven boar & pheasant hunts.

    Whenever we hunt chamois over here I think of where they come from.

    You definately got to see quite a lot of Austria.

    It must be almost unreal to see chamois on the other end of the world. I'm looking forward to that moment.

    It is... I'd love to have seen a few other animals introduced into NZ like Roe Deer.

    I might do a chamois hunt some day in Austria.

    Stubai Valley, 7/10?

    Did a neat trip up there around 2010 when we were doing the tourist thing. Was straight out of the picture books!
