    Hunting in Christchurch (Halswell)

    Seems to be some deer on the loose in town.
    Can’t see any ear tags…

    There are plenty of feral deer, both reds and fallow in the area. A pest controller is used from time to time to remove some, funded by the council.

    I usually drive a couple hours to go deer hunting. Imagine coming home and theres 3 on the driveway! Bloody hard to actually do anything about them anywhere near town though. Maybe a good spear might deal to then if they happen to go in your backyard where no one can see them…
