Quick question.....do hearing aids alleviate tinnitus?
Yes, to a degree but not total elimination. Certainly more comfort than the constant ring.

Phil_H can you pick direction/distance the parries are????? the inability to do so is why I cant wear my mono muffs duckshooting...I know birds are somewhere but cant pick where they are.

The majority of users get some tinnitus relief while wearing aids. Basically your brain is happier detecting real but irrelevant sounds rather than internally-generated "noise".

Whatever their apparent attitude, the reality is they didn't cause it, and more particularly, would have had zero influence in the possible appeal. In fact, ACC would have gleefully said the audiologist had a conflict of interest if they tried to intervene.
