Sort of like squashing an ant with a sledge hammer. It works but it is over kill.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

I used this websites designs to build my own Mountain Howitzer.

Hitting a deer with one is way too easy ..... I took out a magpie @ 50m on the first attempt with mine

    1st Firing of Mountain Howitzer.wmv - YouTube

Been working on developing an effective canister shot for this little cannon ..... will post that once I'm done.

Did that one shrink in the wash?
But really, pretty neat, Rushy should get one for his back yard, might scare the mountain bikers a bit though

with a 1000 odd grains of powder behind it I don't think salt will get past the first fence.
But if you pulled it up to the back fence there should be some wet pants in the carpark

often been tempted to load a coupe of bird scarers in the 12g - step out the door, let loose (quietish) and step back inside before they go bang

I heard that someone made the Russell Cannon fire many years ago - Air Force - couple of thunderflashers or something - woke up the whole area

    Damn!

Like I needed that to be posted the first week I joined.

I can't see how that was legal, nothing about that was about game management.
