I've got a mate with one of these kinds of leases, I think he pays about 2.5k per year and there's a whole load of conditions eg, can't take a mate/partner even if they aren't shooting etc

At that price I'd say he's in a syndicate. Often the lease holder does this to help cover the cost of the full lease. I'm pretty sure the full lease is available on the advertised blocks and will cost alot more then $2500.

I'd guess there would be a fair few sharing your block for free on that Runanga Block, especially if theres pigs in there, and access with 4WD via DOC land I would hope theres an easement or similar agreement already in place too. I've always looked across at the bush opposite the Waipunga and thought it might be worth a poke in there. Some shitty country looking from the road, but over into EKH leased areas there some really nice bush.

Fair call maybe there are some cheap leases out there. I know a couple of people in syndicate blocks (one of the wharetoto blocks) and they pay about $2500 a year from memory.

There's a ph number on the bottom of that ad. The tunamara would be great but as far as I know the access is by chopper or by heavy two wheel trail bike up thru SF70 and along the LiV station boundary. How to keep poachers out would be a concern with both blocks; but somebody might ring that number and find out. There's a q mark over SF70 as well. Dear old Dork have been threatening to stop all vehicular access from the highway due to 4 wheel drive hoons wrecking threatened monowai plants. They say its a rare and endangered eco system. ----....

Questions about a mythical private hunting block any where in the North Island for lease ?

A mythical private hunting block is for lease with good road acess to it.... It is 1000 acres in size and has the usual big game animals on it but no trophy stags......You can see up to 100 animals per day, but you can shoot / kill up to 100 animals per year.....Also you can only go there up to 100 days per year......The hunting block has acess to a basic semi furnished farm house that is included in the lease suitable for hunters only ie bring your own sleeping bag.... The vendor of the lease pays for all associated out goings included in the lease...rates,insurances, maintenances, electricity usage etc.....What is the lease worth per year?
