Usually for a day hunt i make a couple of bacon and egg sandwiches. Have some snack food too. I prefer to take more than skimp out

We don't have much of hunting here but for fishing trips I take what we call "Calcutta Rolls" basically grilled chicken wrapped in a roti (Wheat Bread) with some chutney and Mayo. Two wraps are enough for Lunch, pretty easy to carry in a zip lock back, Leave no mess, requires no cooking etc.

If I start feeling hungry around evening, I just have some cup noodles with tea.

Yep a decent serving on red onion is also added, no red pepper though. There is enough red pepper in grill chicken spices, anymore and toilet paper will catch fire next morning

If you have a garden and a library, you have all you need. Oh, and a dog, and a rifle

Depends a bit on the hunt and what I have in the cupboard. OSM bars are good cos it's quick and easy, cheese & crackers & tuna another easy one. Bacon and egg pie if I'm motivated the night before. Longer multi-day trips is usually a mix of OSM or muesli bars, home made jerky, scroggin and lollies.

Personally I go all out on one day missions as a few more grams and bit more bulk really don't matter. A big pink icing boston bun full of butter, fresh fruit, left over cottage pie.... Save the osms and dry salami wraps for longer trips.

I don't know how I survived without Boston buns as a young fella. One for smoko and two for lunch. Have no idea how I didn't develop Diabetes!

The Cambodian run Hot bread shop in Turangi always gets a hammering on the way to my hunting haunts. And a bit of chocolate to assist with the carry up the hill back to base
