Thread: Hunting partner wanted

Bit of a weird one, but wondering if there’s anyone in Auckland or on the way down to Central North Island hunting spots, that’s looking to tag along on trips and share a campsite.
I’m looking for someone that’s keen on hunting. Not wanting to rob anyone of their spots (I have my own), just finding it hard to find people that are willing and able to hunt NZ conditions.
Happy to hunt alone during the day, just gets a bit boring around camp.

I'll give you a bell next time I head away.

Are you a NZDA Member? I know that it's not everyone's cup of tea but numbers are one thing that politicians listen to plus there is public liability insurance, range and club hunts where you will meet all sorts of people. One of those people might just become your hunting buddy for life.

It’s on me that I haven’t really mingled much with the people there, others than at the range. Does feel a little clicky, again probably on me. But hey this post seem to have worked out in finding some blokes who are keen to team up.

Which one do you go to auckland or north auckland

Auckland. In hindsight, should probably move to North as it seems a bit better and more suited location wise.

Probably a bit late to the party and I’m probably more of a burden than help but I’ve never been hunting and keen to learn, still going through process for FAL but even just keen to come out for the trip. Based in Hamilton or Auckland depending on what day of the week it is

Sounds good, although not sure how good I’ll be in that situation until I manage to get myself a FAL and rifle. I’ll keep your offer in mind and work on getting the gadgets together and flick you a message maybe a bit further down the track
