Thread: Hunting Rotorua

Looks like I got a long weekend to kill in Rotorua 31st-2nd September.

Would love to take a rifle and have a look at bagging a Wallaby or two while I'm there.

I tried to get onto a Landcorp farm that I used to hunt back in the 80's out Rotoma way...... got the big "No"

If anyone could point me in the right direction i'd really appreciate it.

Could reciprocate with a Goat Hunt or a Personally Gudied Tour of the Ruahine or southern Kaweka in return.

Go too DOC and get a permit for the Lake Okataina reserve I had a blast there years ago,was going to write my story up that got published in the NZ Wildlife Magazine but good things take time.Good luck!! Let us know how you get on.

Yeah I've hunted there too.

Always worth a look.

Was thinking more along the lines of a night shoot on private land.

Doc dont take to kindly to folks spotlighting reserves these days.
