Thread: Hunting and the Weather

Greetings All,
Recently the hunting rifles in the safe have been getting a bit grumpy when I take out one of the target rifles for a trip to the range. This morning I went on line and got a new hunting permit for the Kaweka's. The last one was issued a little over 2 years ago. Having recently celebrated, if that is the right word, my 76th birthday hunting in my case should likely be described as mid week gentlemen's hours track wanders with rifle. Next stop was the next 10 days weather for my favourite spot. Rain forecast every day. Week days seem to be in short supply as well with two long weekends in a row. I should not get too grumpy as we need a bit of rain to get a bit of grass growth before winter sets in. I heard that from the SI granted we do not get real winters here in HB but they seem cold enough for us. So I will keep my eye on the weather forecast and hope to get out before the end of the month.
