I have made a point of avoiding public area hunting straight after these lock downs, one of the guys who comes on our Fly In trips ,brother , was nearly shot on DOC land in Kaimanawa 2 weeks after the last lock down, numb nuts climbing the wall & then shooting at what ever moves, fuck that ,First time in what must nearly be 10 yrs since it happened to someone l knew personally .That is why IMO you are far better putting time into gaining & then cherishing access on private land ,we spent part of this lock down making venison sausages we will drop off to land owners we have access to .
Good luck with the hunt, we have found the Venison has been top quality eating since the Roar.
Can you please give some details of this?
Did they get shot at or did they vsee someone pointing their rifi at them?
