they hop and go all the time so i think its a shared feed system they live on!

Yes, they do eh, and more than likely they are. The recent one was very old. The other one was younger.
Maybe father and son, but we will never know. I hope me taking them both out hasn't knocked the gene pool, although the area holds a lot of hinds so it should be all good for the future. They are public land deer.
