    Identifying Droppings

A mate of mine the other day stumbled across some poo and asked me to identify it. Im 90% certain its deer poo but he also pointed out this cool website (See attached Pest Detective link in blue) which gives great pictures of different species and there poo. You guys agree?

The only sure way to tell is taste. It will taste like prunes kind of, thats a deer. Also squash it up all over your hands and wipe it over your arm pits and it covers human scent.

    Yep
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Yep if they're large and round and lots of it in a defined area most likely in my opinion to be Sheep - Spent a weekend recently at Ruatiti and saw heaps just like this and it was all Arapawa's

It is goat crap , all the same size and rounded & a small one at that .The prints are goat as the toes are splayed and rounded at the front & rear. Pigs are very pointy at the front and round at the rear ,deer have more of a cresent ( fat at rear ,skinny at front ) shape with points (sort of ) .Sheep are like two half moons.
