Thread: Info Xmas hunting around gisborne

Hi all
Planning a trip down gisborne over Xmas break. Going to take rifle and go for a hunt or two. Has any one got any help full tips or info around the raukumara west area??

My tip is to buy the "Spot X Hunting book" and give some of those a go. My other tip is to not make your first post about asking for info. People tend to get a little defensive when they have not had a chance to suss your attitude out by reading your posts etc. Hope you manage to find some animals. I go into that area a bit, and at this time of the year - find the grass (not the local cockies paddock) - slips, river benches etc.
