    Iso goats around Kawhia

Hey everyone, been awhile since I've been able to head out, just wondering if anyone knows anyone that might have a bit of a goat problem around the Kawhia/Raglan area? Hit the public land a few times without much luck and hoping to get the chance to go out a bit more often in the near future if anyone could put me in touch with someone
    Cheers

Hit public land more. Don't give up. Took me a long time to get access to a handful of places. Took even longer to get a few good spots and get good enough to see deer before they saw me.

Keep up at it. It'll be worth it.

If you haven't found goats on DOC land in that area then you haven't looked hard enough. Came across a mob of 30ish the other day in the middle of the road bordering DOC land. There was pig sign as well in the water table ...

A lot of landowners tend to herd them up from time to time as their worth money.

$85 for big ones, $55 for smaller ones.

Just got for a big drive, knock on farmers doors, be presentable and polite and expect to be turned away ALOT however I always found a few good farmers to let me on and when I went back a second time I always dropped off a BIG box of beers to say thanks.

A mate was out there last week and shot himself a nice 34 inch Billy so anything over 30 inches for a Billy is a cracker as their hard to come by.
