man that's getting old, still a great head for that age.might have been his final year as a decent head.Good job!
Cracking head, well done.
Mates was 10.3, a wide curved in 5 pointer that looked old. I shot a small 8 (my first 8) that was 7.3, thought it was a younger one but I guess it was as good as it was going to get.
Totally worth bringing the jaw out for the info you get and to support the research by the Sika Foundation
That' just fantastic. A just reward for your ethics.
Big congrtas to your son again.
Great to read that. Agree it makes you feel better about letting younger stag walk away.

Hi all got this one on April 19th and thought that I had stuffed up and shot a very promising young 8 pointer. Had the jaw aged and he is 10.3 years old I had a second to decide and he stopped for a look back and at about 10m I shot him between the eyes. As above pleased to have nailed a old campaigner who was calling every 5 minutes or so, and came out to my single call (Philpot version)
Well done on the head Rangidan, it is certainly a lovely trophy. At 10 years they have avoided many hunters for a decade so are not silly so I think adds to the value of the trophy itself.
Cheers Ruger7mm
Shot this last roar.. any guesses on age? I guessed 10+ at the time but never got him aged. I should go back and see if the jaw is still there.
@Nick.m
