Thread: Jervois Hut

Dont expect the Ritz when you get there! Have spent some time in there, last time the hut was ok, rough but dry. Allow good part of the day, but hunt all the way, deer in the tussocks occassionally, and the odd pig in the matagouri. The bush up the creek is definitely worth a look, as are the tops. Even pigs in the scrub when looking for trout in the river.

Thanks Husky appreciate it, Is it a popular spot for trampers Im looking at going for a hunt but not familiar with the area. I will be coming from the north island so pretty for this trip not to be a fizzer. My research so far looks like its pretty nice country and the surrounding and you say there is trout so thats a bonus . Pm me if you like. Thanks again.
