    Joining value

So I want to get out here in the Waikato hunting on the regular and am wondering if joining the deer stalking club is going to give me more opportunities to get out there as I'm looking for mentors and companionship. My question is what are the advantages of the nzdsa..

Meeting like minded people. Organised trips. Public Liability cover.

What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Don't expect people to fall over themselves offering trips, hunting spots etc after attending the first meeting. You probably won't get much out of the club unless you put something in. Get involved where you can, attend meetings, working bees, club hunts and you will get to know a few people to hit up for information, advice, trips etc. If the club runs a HUNTS course, get on that also.
