So long as they dont target the nicely growing Fallow herd in there im not worried. Its just starting to produce some nice heads.

you can thank the a farm just north of Te Aroha for doing their bit, couple of good bucks reside in there and venture into the bush to help raise the quality
Also another farm that has done that on the quiet, this one has around low 20's so far and establishing well.
Id be interested to know what happened to the 11 wap crosses that escaped from the lifestyle block in the Waiwawa catchment a few months back during that flood.

You could not be more wrong. There is a small herd coming along nicely,in five years i have only just harvested a doe that did not drop a fawn in 2 years,so was no use to the herd.
if you do find it, please, DONT say where its location is as it will then get shot out pretty fast and that will be the end of it.

Not a lot of country North of Te Aroha!
Not that Fallow need a lot.
I heard that they spent a couple million back in the 80's to sort the goats out using Judas goats seemed to do a good job culling the goat population. One of our neighbours was a key man at the old Gordon base.
Gave me all the old trap line tracks. Helped me in not getting lost on some of the more hairy parts of the Waikato side of thingsdidn't help much in dodging the supplejack
that justs take time and patients

It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along
I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.
Cullers are being put into the Waitewheta to reduce goat numbers ,few in past the Hut & up around Tiere rd ,old mill site threw to Woodlands rd hut .
Deer won't go past the Karangahaki gorge area is lacking mineral & trace elements the deer need. In short its "Cattle sick country" .They been in the
Kaimai way over hundred years if they where going to populate the Coromandel they would of by now you think .
Gun control means using both hands
The tvda don't know squat, the few isolated deer in the Coromandel have either escaped from farms or been released .
That includes the Fallow in behind Thames. Its Cattle sick country & deer won't live in it ,no deer have passed Dickey's
flat. The way it has always been ,Digby had some escape a while back but recovered all 35 animals. He had the Deer Farm
at Owhara . I was the guy that told him they where out side the fence .
Gun control means using both hands
My cuz shot 1 in Waka; couple of years ago .Big boy with no balls & in velvet ,head went 18 kg ,think the animal went 300 lb on hook .
Don't you love escapes . Tasted OK too .
