    We used to possum the Waipakihi and struck a lot of deer on the flats midwinter,often looking as freezing as we were,a few times I couldnt pull the hammer back on my Marlin 30-30 without using whole hand or wrist as to frozen!,also anywhere after fresh snow has broken branches down is always good.
