Thread: Kaimanawa walk

Jus got home from the end of Clemments mill road,Left the truck at 1800 to walk in the late evening.The dog played up at the swing bridge,again,as the river was low I let him swim across.about halfway to the campsite is a 15 foot dropoff climbing down beechroots,dog says noway.He finely sidled around and came down the spur,he thought he was pretty cool.At the campsite this is what I found.
If you carry it in you can carry it out (insert some Greendog words here)
Left the mess to camp elsewhere,set up in the dark.next morning.
So feeling better about life set out to stalk the sidecreek,no sign anywhere, then the smell.
no bullet hole,green rain?not gonna risk the dog,pretty gutting.I walked back down the creek,packed up and walked out,nice weather,but f$*k it
