Kaimanawas Summer 20-21

Afternoon Lads,

Just wondering if any of you had done the Clements Mill / Cascade / Boyd / Oamaru Walk recently?

Heading up that way over the NYE of 20-21 for a bit of a wander with a Rifle to see if I can get lucky.

If so , How's the sign?

Are the tracks still as bad as they were a few years back?

Always had luck on the river crossing the Kaipo Saddle and on Maungaorangi with Sika , but haven't been up in a couple years.

Any recent tales or pointers would be appreciated.

In Oamaru early October.
Trampers were doing Helisika to Oamaru to Cascade and back down the Kaipo and out via Oamaru back through Poronui.
I think you would have to check access to Boyd, from Cascade you have to go over Maungaorangi and then to Boyd.
