Karangarua / copland rivers - Cassel flat hut, Architech creek hut

Hi guys, I'm wanting to pick your brains about going up the Karangarua river up to Cassel flat hut. How far can you drive up the river and or how long does it take to walk to the Cassel flat hut?
Plain "B" Copland river (off Karangarua) to Architech creek hut?.

Any info about the "areas" would be great.

I may be look in going around May or June? just an option.

    pm me if needed.

    Thanks guys

Can't drive up the river at all, park by the road bridge and walk up river. About 4 hrs to Cassel, bloody nice walk too.

Took us 3.30 into Cassel. Beautiful spot. Only spent a weekend in there. Say hi to Tom for me if he's in there; he traps the area and spends a lot of time in that hut. He's classic.

I took me a while to figure it out that James Scott dumps anyone who doesn't know any better up in the heads of that valley to hunt. If you're in the know - there are much better places to hunt.
