    Kaweka fly in

Me and some buddies looking at doing a roar hunt fly in next year. Tussock hut is fully booked already but all the others available.

We’ve narrowed it down to either Otutu or Te Puke.
We’re looking to do more open tops hunting to do something a bit different than our usual walk in bush hunt so not wanting to get dropped off in more bush.

    Any feedback would be appreciated!

Otutu is pretty nice country, good scope for tops hunting and some nice bush either side for the roar - especially down the Manson Creek side.
You can also drop down and up the other side to the burn under Mt. Meany - some pretty good stag sign in the Manuka regrowth out from the bush edge the last time I was up there.

Both awesome spots, the Omar tops to the south of Te Puke are an amazing spot & the campsite there is pretty special.
It gets really bluffy the further south you go, but the deer don't seem to bothered by it.

I'm heading to Otutu first week of May, is always a good spot although its reasonably close to private land and reasonably close to others at Manson hut.

Tusssock is awesome as well. you could fly into the Boyd and hunt there or 2 hours walk to Tussock hut & the Harkness valley or heli into Otore biv & base yourself there........ so many options!
