Yeah, They were very helpful, cost wise much the same as other operators.

I've used mid west to get into the Manson but we flew in and from Kuripapango (and out)

The transit time from Taihape for them is the biggest cost, last price i got was 4k to Manson again

I have spoken with Midwest as well and as stated the ferry from Taihape to Kuri is the killer as they have to do it twice to get you out. However, if you can get 3 or more parties they are more than competitive with Helisika, 4 and you are winning. The cost for the two ferry flights is about $2800, so between 12 hunters it is $233 pp and the flights to the huts are on top, but you have short flight times from Kuri. The trick is to get a group of hunters together and go on the same day. I have suggested they opt for Saturdays and Wednesdays, then you can fly in for 7, 4, or 3 nights. Be good for club trips etc. The link below hopefully will take you to a Midwest pricelist I got off Owen a month ago.

I don't think RTB have got their DOC concession to land in the Kawekas yet, that 500 of theirs could just about fly itself in there!

It should know it's way around, as it's spent a lot of hours aloft in there.
