Hi guys,

Maybe ring DOC Napier or DOC Palmy and see who else has concessions to land in there.
Helisika is reasonably priced depending on exact location and numbers. Cheeky 10% off for NZDA members too.
Last time I looked at Helisika prices I thought they were way pricey, not sure who else can land in there.
Phil Janssen Heli hunt and fish on Napier Taupo Highway at Rangitaikei.

Plenty on this list ring around let us know how you go
Haha getting a bit of stick 🤣
I've got a flight booked into Tussock Hut later this year and when split three ways combined with the 10% off, works out pretty well.
Look to the future of your hunting access. Then there is there potential 15 year exclusive use flying from the new base end of Waipakihi Rd off the desert rd for HeliSika behind locked gates? At this time looking at no further public access to the park boundary for those that use to drive down the road. Not locked out yet but gates with padlocks aren't there for nothing? But Pop Shot knew that eh?
Yeh mate all in good fun.
I don’t fly-hunt a lot. But with Helisika, the flights are already on the very upper end of the spectrum. But when you add landing fees, and daily hut fees it ends up quite and expensive trip.
Fair enough you’ve got a private block, and there’s certainly value in that.
Interesting; we flew in with Heli sika about 5 years ago. Expensive then, but its a case of take it or leave it, so we took it. Great trip and plenty of animals.
Machine hire was one cost, hut use was another, and fair enough - someone has to maintain them, but then I questioned the "landing fee". It was a per day fee and I couldn't get my head round this because they were only landing twice; once to drop us off and then again to pick us up. Turns out its not a "landing fee", its a bloody "land fee" thats paid to local Iwi. Sorry Iwi, but no more of my hard earned cash!
Plenty of other options available these days
