Thread: Keen As

Hi guys

Sorry I posted this in the Introductions but was meant for here.

Been reading these forums for a while now, some awesome info and helpful members on here. Think the mrs is getting sick of me reading these all night 

I am new to hunting and just keen to get out there as soon as I can. Waiting on my FAL to be processed is killing me but should be arriving soon.

I have been loving all the advice people have posted and am aware that I’m not going to learn a thing without getting out there amongst it instead of behind the screen in the warm lounge.

I might try and jack up going out with someone that is keen for me to tag along (hopefully). Keen to just head out (without firearm for now), not afraid of getting my hands dirty and helping with a carry out. Just wanna gain some experience.

If you have been vetted and buying a rifle from a shop, they can contact the local arms officer and get the FAL number and the ok to sell to you. They did this for my son, I think its because there can be a long delay to process after the all clear.

My 2 cents
Don't go rushing off to buy a musket , like you mentioned you would be better off going out with someone a couple of times first to build up some knowledge and pick up some tips.
No hate Chindit but it's not something he should rush into.
Flick us a pm mackley and wel have a yarn ,might be heading down those ways for a hunt in a couply weeks.

hahaha Yea might be wasting my time when hes on the prowl around those parts but I think there might be 1 pocket of deer left that he hasn't got yet so il give it a nudge
