About LinkBacksDepends on the trip, I will usually carry it all in the pack often with a belt thrown in. If I'm expecting to use my knife/torch/gps I'll set my belt up. Having a pouch threaded onto the belt stops gear ending up in a pile at the bottom of the pack as well
