the cons are they could well get knocked off sight when scrambeling thru the bush and the rifle and lazer are nolonger poiniting to the same point

mount them solidly and it wont be an issue. not with the pathetic alloy barrel mounts they come with
I always found them to be a waste of time unless you are useing them with NVG`s. Just something else to carry and most don`t hold point of aim very long at all.
I am going to be doing short range shooting. Would you rate them less than a red dot sight? or would you rather just use a scope, or iron sights?
