Thread: Last Weekend Hunting

Being both busy at work we decided for this trip (Summer*Xmas Venison) we d book somewhere private hunting and it had to be also not ridiculously priced.
So booking made and we're off to Carrot Town early Tursday afternoon.



Chilly bit of snow on the mountain . Wicked sun freezing wind. All good.
Stayed in good cheap accomodation so we had only short drive on Friday morning and after a good feed and 57000. beers up town hit the sack.
Qucik brekky then off we go. In field and the hunting starts round 1.00 PM.



Keep calm slide up for a look almost slapped its bum..



Deer for Africa. Decision made to go for yearling hinds with no fawns on board.
Also decided neck shots or head shots only as its a meat trip after all so had to get close up.

And yep bloody big stags




No deer here ha ha spot the huge stag 20 foot over my left shoulder head down and eating hard out



My turn first so here we go nice Hind around 40 to 50 meters



Around 5.00 pm good walk then its time to go look for another.

Success at nearly 8 o clock after a really good walk seeing deer stalking wind going everywhere temp dropping
like crazy some good converstaion and shit slinging going on.





Field dressed in the near darkness under a snow covered mountain. One each.
Back to base skinned some dinner and OMG its 11.30 Snoring begun at 11.31
I ve been told Im bad but Oh my God all of Central North Island must have
heard the midget...

Oh quick walk around Horopito Wreckers yard Friday morning on the way for medicinal reasons
walking off the beers, Devils Cut bouron and Jamiesons mixers from Thursday night



Cars for miles and I knew more unbadfged car makes and models then the midget
Shameful and a sign of decrepancy and old age according to him..



Note: The use of the word Midget is not derogatory at all its just thats hes well a short little bastard
who gives better than he gets.
Overall wicked experience in the middle of no where with awesome results ,stalking and company.
