Hey all, Im pondering a trip up the Lawrence this weekend.
My mate has a well equipped and capable 4wd so we are planning on getting to the hut via 4wd.
Has anyone been up there recently that can update on the start of the track?
Any info much appreciated as its the maiden voyage up there.

No track as such, but expect plenty of water........ take your oars and don't expect a friendly reception if you wander back to the house looking for a tow out!

Its all river bed travel, there will be a reasonably well worn trail to follow, treat the rivers with respect, they're bloody low at present, but who knows what they will be like at the weekend, theres a good chunk of snow waiting for some warm weather to thaw. If you even think it may come up while you are in there, then get out fast cos your vehicle may be staying for a while if you're too slow.
