I shoot a few Muntjac as well. They're more of a snack size deer only being about the same size as a pygmy goat. They breed like rabbits and taste amazing!
I'll bring one in my hand luggage next time im over for you Gibo:thumbsup:
Wow.

Great little deer. What calibre, bullet, velocity etc do you use on them? Some vids show guys using 303,243, 22.250 but these cals seem very severe for such a small animal.:(
They are small but incredibly tough little things. I only have Roe and Muntys on the land I have permission to shoot over so I use a 243. People will use 243, 308, 6.5, 30 06, 270 etc etc. You need to use something with a fair bit of knock down power because if they scamper off to far you'll never find them, unless you have got a dog of course.
We have plenty of them over these ways too, saw a couple about three hundred yards from the motorway last week, and saw one munching away in a field last night barely sixty or so from another main road, had me licking my lips, for sure.
Going through the process of getting my gun licence over here, may be easier than I thought, we'll see....
I know the perfect place to have them around here. C'mon @Gibo get some :D
