    The shootable fallow are mostly on private land so take time to cultivate contacts. If you make the contacts then Waikato is the best region in the country for bowhunting.

    There are no real mountains near Hamilton. Thats truly the main drawback.

    Also there are no deer in the Kaimais so I recommend you just drive straight on past to Clements Rd, Ruahines or Te Urewera.
