Interesting read.
Another quote out of that article brings up a fairly good point relating to the ethics of LR hunting:
...criticizing another’s method, because its something you’re not capable of doing, is narrow-minded. It’s each hunter’s responsibility to only take responsible shots...
So as long as you are competent enough to take the shot ethically it will be humane, whether it is fair chase or not is another matter of personal beliefs. So those people who do not have the inclination or skill set to shoot at longer ranges should not criticize those that have put in the hours (and $$$) to be able to do so competently.
So as long as the animal is taken cleanly and humanely, it should be classed as ethical...
