Ethics vary from country to country and the hunting traditions of each.
One of the age old problems of humanity, each believes their way is the only way rather than live and let live.

Long range hunting is not for me, I respect the skill ot takes but I prefer to stalk, it is trading one challenge for another.

I won't knock anyone who wants to do it though and neither should anyone say I am wrong for not wanting to do it.

Its the same reason that I don't regard longlining as fishing.

But then again I am not hunting or fishing to fill the freezer, I only do it for the sport and enjoyment.

+1 Spud, im in the same boat, if i want to eat venison i go out and buy it (maybe thats because of my success rate too) im a recreational hunter, into it for the challenge, adventure and to respect the animal, their meat....but as you say 'to each their own'.....
While I might not be as good as I once was, Im as good once as I ever was!

Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
