I think she was 'infected' while living in Boston for a few months, some years ago.
She was a Red Sox fan, but I believe her allegiances have shifted elsewhere.
She is a pretty avid Golden Knights fan, but watches any live feed NHL games in Perth, Western Australa.
We stayed with her for a while recently - we're asleep and suddenly loud shouts erupt from the lounge.
Her hockey buddies come over and watch as well.
She plays baseball and ice hockey (not top level) and absolutely loves it.
    And injuries to prove.
She just got approval from the ice hockey body in Perth to go to the next higher level - better skills/technical knowledge.
At 43 years old and single, we're hoping she'll settle down - eventually, but unlikely as long as she can hit a baseball and run, catch and field - or body check and score goals, we don't think it'll happen soon.
I liked your daughter till you said she was a Vegas fan

I have NHL TV. Of all the dumb shit I spend money on it is what makes me happiest.
I can catch a game whenever I want.
Only missed one Leafs game this season coz I was bush and seen the result come up on my phone.

Can't wait till the post season starts. I don't have high hopes this year but the next 2 could have me flying to Toronto on the drop of a hat.

You should choose better teams to follow. I am happy to consult and correct you on this if you buy the beers

I have to admit the Nights getting to the SCF in their first year was nothing short of amazing considering how they were built.
Don't think they will fool anyone this year tho. Ducks? Pffft.

    Tampa or Washington this year.
Pens could destroy a few teams if they make it.
I loath the Bruins so won't give them any credit even tho they're pretty good.

The new Playoff format sucks balls.
It is a horrendous screw up.

I am an expat Nuck mate. I could never support a US based team even tho they're full of Canadians.

I am now chuckling that maybe only a handful on here will get the Axl Foley comment.

Yeah mate... I got it... u maybe ex Canuck .. but you’ve finessed the kiwi humour just fine

2 years ago u couldn’t find a Canuck team in the playoffs, they are doing just fine now,I get the yank/Canuck thing,it’s just like the Kiwi/ oz thing... I’m neutral but I love to jibe the yanks how good the canucks are,and I spend a lot of time in Canada and always have a bloody good time with them.

To be honest mate,it’s all good, the game itself I have learned to love .... something we never had in Kiwi when I was a young fella, when the season comes around and the SIR STANLEY Cup is up for grabs,it’s a beautiful thing, bloody awesome.....,the these blokes are artists, the skill, the sport, everything about it.... I so enjoy going to live games, until you’ve been to one,u don’t know what you’ve been missing. My hat is off to these jokers, such a skilled sport if there ever was one.....,GO DUCKS.... Go KNIGHTS!!!!....

NB... knights shirt on its way... super XL ... so it fits over that big mug of yours... lol

    Lol

Yup I am pretty jealous you get to go pretty regularly.

My last NHL game was 1979 in Buffalo.
    Leafs vs Sabres.

If able I am planning to fly to Toronto mid October to catch a couple games after the hunting season. Want the wife to come over and see a game live but I might have to stay on in the states for a bit. Your not too far from Montana eh? I could let you shout me to a knights game and I can wear my Leafs jersey

2019/20 schedule might even have the Leafs in Vancouver then so I might save some money and get to see a game with my brother.

@Smiddy .....I’m honored and bloody impressed mate....yours,you earned, mine, bought at an Auction to help raise funds for Ice hockey NZ
Small world sometimes, thanks for sharing........and bloody well done, quite the accolade!!!!!!

A lot of people stop and ask me about the ICE BLACKS and kiwi. Ice hockey,I certainly don’t do it any justice as it never was my forte,I’m probably the worst person to be even trying to represent kiwi hockey,,I certainly don’t try to even think I know anything about it ,but the jersey attracts a lot of comments, and people trying to swap and buy it.......I’d have to be dead to give it up mate.

Kudo,s to you and your skills, not sure many here understand how disciplined the sport is,you were obviously bloody good at it....chur

Mate,......there’s always a bed and a beer(waikato) here for you and the lovely misses......SEATTLE is getting a NHL hockey team, not sure when..if you make it to Portland,it’ll have to be the WINTERHAWKS, minor league team, but they are awesome......flew for Horizon airlines for 10 years, spent a lot of it in Montana ,know the place well.....

More than happy to meet you in Las Vegas and shout you a game....the knights have become so popular even the locals cant get tickets, they are a big item ticket for the Vegas visiting crowd....

We just spent half an hour chatting in my driveway. Of course about hunting and what is going on recently. Now I find out you played my favorite sport for NZ no less?
