Thread: Looking for some advice

Hi guys, I'm planning my first hunting trip for over 6 years.
I'm wanting to take 2 of our boys (18 and 24) into the Tararuas, it'll be their first hunting trip ever.
I was looking at going to Totara flats in the Tararuas for a weekend. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, not looking for anyones spot X just some general advice about the area at this time of year.

Plenty of good hunting in there from what i hear, some good slips further up river from what i understand, Good stalking on both sides of the flats and if you are lucky some naked chicks skinny dipping!!! Enough said, I dont go in there as i dont do many overnight trips, have day hunted from Waiohine road end though
