Awesome. Good spring growth about too!
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
It's looks rather low altitude, what abouts (roughly) is that at? I wish they came all the way down to our grass,
up the rangitata. technically I was on public land, but we used station tracks to get there.
Well done.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone

Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
Great shooting
Nice, what's the scope?
Shut up, get out & start pushing!
awesome stuff. how low are they this time of year? im going to head out on my first ever trip for tahr in 2 weeks time and just want an idea of how low to look.... cheers
I was out a week ago.. Easily accessible public land. Only saw bulls in the catchment we were in, but around 20 so gave a decent sample size. Last/First thing they were down around 900-1000, but didn't see any lower down than that. They were mostly bedding down around the 11-1200m mark, with a few up at more like 1300.
We could see sign where they'd been down around 800, maybe a few weeks or a month prior.
Nice 'blond mane' on that one @scottrods....
While I might not be as good as I once was, Im as good once as I ever was!
