    Low-vember tahr hunt

Want to have another crack at these hairy goats this spring. Being the wrong side of 60 stupid steep country is not an option. And not going to smack the 4wd around bashing up rivers. Any suggestions of “easier” places would be appreciated.
Had thought about going into the Jolie but heard the animal numbers in there recently are not great due to too much pressure.

Are you ok with a short helicopter trip, like maybe $1200-1500?

Jollie still has good numbers, there just a bit scattered and have to put in a few km to get onto them. Rangitata would be the better option though, but you’d almost certainly want to fly in to avoid the walking and riverbed travel.

Also, last few years spring has dragged its heals arriving in the high country and my observation is that Lowvember doesn’t actually happen until quite late November early December.

I have a few trips planned over that period and if the Rangitata was of interest, we can maybe coordinate some flights.
