Gore... Rural city living (according to the new marketing campaign just launched)... Hospital & heaps of hunting around... Hour and a bit to Central Otago (Q'town, Wanaka etc), 3-4 hrs to tahr, hr to chamois (saw 50 odd last week). I'm biased however since I live nearby...

Oh, sorry, ignore all that... I see you are Aussies... :p
